SeaMoor Photographer & SeaMoor Walker
John Turner, aka SeaMoor Photographer, is the man behind the lens. He has been interested in photography most of his life, and in the last few years has been making high quality hand-finished greetings cards, showcasing his landscape and architectural photographs. These images are mainly of the South West counties of England, and the city of Exeter, in Devon.
Besides photography, John enjoys music, and sang bass in Exeter Cathedral Choir for 41 years. Now retired from singing, he is able to dedicate more time to his photography. Other interests include the Lake District (where he grew up) and steam railways.
SeaMoor Walker is John’s wife, Chryssa. She loves being outdoors, mainly walking, but also running, cycling, gardening or, on occasion, horse-riding. She has recently decided to walk the South West Coast Path (all 630 miles of it), sometimes accompanied by SeaMoor Photographer and a multitude of photographic equipment. When walking with other friends, she is very happy to record the views on her mobile phone.
As well as walking, she enjoys writing, open fires and eating chocolate, sometimes all at once.
Photos from Dartmoor on a beautifully sunny evening in early June. The bird is a skylark; we only realised later when they started to sing.
Handmade Photographic Greetings Cards
John has been making greetings cards for a number of years and has sold them in a variety of retail outlets including Exeter Cathedral, the National Trust Shop, Sidmouth and Darts Farm, Topsham.
The cards are handmade with a quality photograph printed on professional Fuji photo paper which is then mounted onto 300gsm white card. Card details are printed on the reverse with the inside of the card left blank for your own message. For protection, each card, together with a 130gsm white envelope, is individually wrapped in a cellophane wrapper.
Currently, the greetings cards come in three sizes. The smallest is 5" x 5" with a 4" x 4" photograph; 7" x 5" cards, in both landscape and portrait format, have a 6" x 4" photograph. This year we have introduced the larger DL cards with a 7.5" x 3.25" photograph. These, more panoramic, cards are especially effective in expansive landscapes and seascapes.
5" x 5" - £2.00
7" x 5" - £2.25
DL - £2.50
Postage (to the UK only) and Discounts:
Postage on all orders under £10.00 is £2;00 and free for orders totaling £10.00 and over.

Whilst every care is taken to ensure photographs are mounted centrally, being a handmade product there will, on occasions, be small differences in positioning. Please accept that this is inevitable. We hope it won't spoil your enjoyment in sending the card.

Viewing Photographs on Your Monitor or Screeen
When viewing the photographs, please bear in mind that most monitors and screens are factory set to be rather bright. This brightness, together with the ambient light at time of viewing, can give a false impression of colour by making photos appear over saturated and garish.
The images used on our cards have been edited on a properly calibrated monitor to ensure there is a good match to the final printed photograph. We are confident that you will be happy with any cards you purchase from us. Please let us know if that is not the case.
